After quite a flat end to 2013, and a poor start to 2014 the RSC Mining and Exploraiton Geology Employment Index has risen to its highest level since recording began nine months ago.  The underlying advertising levels for hard mineral geologists worldwide increased by a further 5% this week.  It's quite common to see a rise in advertising in the last week of the month as advertisers use up their monthly quota of advertising, however, this rise to above late-2013 levels might be taken as encouraging news for those hanging in there.
