ABSTRACT: | Xanadu’s MD & CEO, Dr Andrew Stewart, said “We continue to be encouraged by the results of our ongoing extensional drilling programme around the current resources at Kharmagtai. Hole KHDDH415 successfully confirmed our interpretation of consistent higher-grade mineralisation across the mineralised width of the porphyry and increasing gold to copper ratios associated with north-northeast controlling structures. We are excited that our targeted drilling programme has again confirmed multiple high-grade targets at depth under and adjacent to established resources with visual results in KHDDH418 and KHDDH419 confirming that a large portion of the highgrade core of the Stockwork Hill deposit is open to the east and at depth. These high-grade extensions we have identified now offer us the opportunity to assess Stockwork Hill as a potential large-scale resource which we will be assessing during the remainder of 2017”. The Stockwork Hill deposit consists of composite porphyry intrusions hosting high-grade gold-rich porphyry copper mineralisation approximately 800m long and 400m wide extending from the surface to a depth of at least 600m (Figure 3). Mineralisation is open to the north, south, east and at depth. Diamond drill hole KHDDH415 intersected 264m of high-grade stockwork mineralisation (Figure 4) from surface grading 0.56% Cu and 1.46g/t Au (1.49% eCu), which included 148m @ 0.81% Cu and 2.41g/t Au (2.41% eCu) from surface. Drill hole KHDDH415 was completed to infill a 100 by 150m by 300m gap in the current drill pattern and extend the mid-level stockwork zone to the west. The drill hole details are set out in Table 1 and assay results in Table 2. An improved understanding of the controls of high-grade copper and gold mineralisation paired with the generation of a new 3D geological model is providing pivotal targeting information. Three potential off-set blocks of high grade mineralisation have been identified. | |
