| ABSTRACT: | Woomera Mining Limited’s Managing Director Mr Gerard Anderson said “previous soil and rock chip sampling demonstrated the presence of evolved anomalous lithium pegmatites at Pilgangooora. We knew we had evolved pegmatites but without drilling could not determine if those pegmatites had the capacity to carry economic ore grade lithium. The short RC programme showed that whilst no ore grade lithium occurs in the areas drilled there is potential along strike of two very large pegmatites intersected in Areas I and F”. Woomera conducted two stages of soil and rock chip sampling (November 2018 and February/March 2019) that demonstrated that evolved pegmatites occurred in E 45/4790 that warranted drill testing (Figure 1). 10 reverse circulation drill holes were completed for 720m in August 2019 to test areas of lithium anomalism previously recorded in soil and rock chip sampling (Table 1 and Figure 2). | |
