ABSTRACT: | White Cliff Minerals Limited (“White Cliff” or the “Company”) is pleased to report diamond drilling assay result for the first six holes of the 2016 program. Drilling targeted the high grade Eastern Gold Zone (EGZ) where drilling in 2015 identified multiple mineralised zones. The initial six drill holes were designed to test 50 vertical metres above and below the high grade intersections encountered in the 2015 drill program. The mineralised structures were encountered in all holes with gold mineralisation ranging from 1.28 g/t to 12.1 g/t gold. These intersections confirm the orientation of the dominant NNW trended mineralised lodes. The grade disparity between the exceptionally high grade 2015 results and the current results prompted a review of the mineralisation model and structural modelling by expert structural consultants Orefind Pty Ltd. The review indicates that the exceptionally high grades are possibly due to the intersection of the NNW sub-vertical lodes with carbon rich shallowly north dipping carbonaceous sediments (Figure 1). The intersection of the two structures provides a series of high grade shoots that occur along the intersection of these structures and plunge at around 25 degrees to the northwest. Given that there are multiple NNW mineralised lodes there may also be multiple horizontal high grade shoots that will be amenable to open pit mining. Further drilling will target these zones that have largely been missed by the initial holes of the current drill program. | |
