ABSTRACT:Gold developer West African Resources Limited (ASX, TSXV: WAF) is pleased to report further high-grade drilling results from its Sanbrado Gold Project, Burkina Faso. Drilling at M1 South is ongoing following the updated resource estimate in late October, currently with 4 rigs on site. Recent drilling has demonstrated high grade gold mineralisation is still open along strike to the northwest and remains wide open at depth with step-out hole TAN17-DD166B intercepting both hanging wall and footwall mineralisation returning 13.5m at 18.21 g/t Au from 575m including 1m at 131.9 g/t Au and 2.5m at 43.97 g/t Au from 614m including 1m at 83.9 g/t Au. It appears mineralisation below -100mRL (400m below surface) is either offset to the northwest by late faulting, or the plunge of mineralisation is shallowing as shown in Figure 1. Drilling is continuing to target mineralisation 50m along strike from TAN17-DD166B, with TAN17-DD178 in progress at the time of reporting, which is expected to intersect the target zone around -150mRL (450m below surface). In other drilling news, five infill drill holes have intercepted visible gold mineralisation, with strong mineralisation exhibited in TAN17-DD169-WD1 and TAN17-DD174A down-dip and along strike of TAN17- DD111 which returned the highest grade result for 2017 with 21m at 53.13 g/t Au from 408.5m including 0.5m at 1,613.41 g/t Au and 0.5m at 530.38 g/t Au and 14.5m at 38.27 g/t Au from 459m. Infill holes are mostly located within Inferred Resources and provide increased density of data and confidence in geology.
