| ABSTRACT: | Gold developer West African Resources Limited (ASX, TSXV: WAF) is pleased to report further high-grade drilling results from its Sanbrado Gold Project, Burkina Faso. Managing Director Richard Hyde commented: “M1 South has returned further high-grade results including 0.5m at 280.3 g/t Au from 256m in TAN17- DD128. Two wedge holes have also intercepted visible gold mineralisation, assays are pending. “M5 drilling has also returned significant results with TAN17-DD118 returning 36.5m at 2.5 g/t Au approximately 50m beneath the proposed M5 open pit. “The Company remains on track to deliver a resource update in Q3 2017, and is-funded to complete all work programs.” A new drilling program has been designed to take mineralisation to more than 500 vertical metres down dip on the southern shoot at M1 South. There are less than three holes to complete in the current drilling program for the Q3 resource update and then the deep drilling program will commence. Figure 2 below shows the proposed holes in relation to the existing mineralisation and proposed open pits from the February 2017 DFS.
