| ABSTRACT: | Gold explorer Vital Metals Limited (ASX:VML) is pleased to report shallow high-grade gold mineralisation from exploration drilling at its 100% owned Kollo Gold Project in Burkina Faso, West Africa. Vitals’ Managing Director Mr Mark Strizek said: “RC hole KRC352 has returned 17m at 6.0 g/t Au from 114m downhole including 2m at 30.5 g/t Au at Kollo South.” “The gold mineralisation reported is located on the northern side of a contact with an intensely sheared graphitic marker unit that has been mapped for over 400m at Kollo South.” “We are seeing continuity of high grade mineralisation along strike on the clearly visible graphitic contact as we progress drilling on 50m sections from west to east and we are currently awaiting assay results from three RC holes that have intersected the contact.” The contact zone mineralisation is a high value exploration target that has not been drill tested. Previous RC drilling was shallow and targeted artisanal workings north of the marker unit. Vitals’ exploration program has been designed to test the contact zone over at least 300m on 50m sections from west to east at drill depths ranging from 150 to 250m. Four RC holes have been completed (assays for three holes pending) and a further eight holes that have been drilled or are being drilled will require diamond drill tails due to high water inflows that prevented the holes from hitting target depths with the RC rig. A diamond rig has been secured and is expected to be on site this week to complete these holes. | |
