| ABSTRACT: | Vital Metals Limited (ASX: VML), the West Africa and Queensland gold explorer is pleased to report further significant intercepts of gold mineralisation from the RC results at its 100% owned Kollo Gold Project in Burkina Faso. Vital’s Managing Director, Mr Mark Strizek, said the results provide great support to the Company’s stated intention to step up its exploration campaign in West Africa in the first quarter 2017. We are very excited to see that our persistence and hard work is paying off as we have confirmed continuity of what is very high-grade gold mineralisation.” Vital vectored in on the thick high grade gold zone at Kollo using information from its core drilling program in 2016. Exploration drilling has demonstrated a spatial correlation between the graphitic shear and what Mark Strizek added “is at times, bonanza grade gold mineralization”. “We assumed the existence of a possible eastern plunge to the main zone of mineralization and we hit it when we intersected 17m @ 3.34 g/t Au from 145m. This zone warrants further testing down dip and to the east given its potential to generate high grades.” Vital also drilled to test the broader regional potential of its holdings in Burkina Faso. The drilling delivered some encouraging results that will require follow up. Vital’s Burkina Faso tenements are located in the heart of a world-class gold province with multi-million ounce potential. The Company believes that a systematic program of drilling is required to follow up these results to infill and extend known gold mineralisation. | |
