| ABSTRACT: | Vital Metals Limited (ASX: VML), the West Africa and Queensland gold explorer is pleased to report further significant intercepts of gold mineralisation from the RC results at its 100% owned Elephant Creek Gold Project in Queensland and positive copper results from RC drilling at its 100% owned Peninsula copper prospect. Vital’s Managing Director, Mr Mark Strizek, said that the recent drilling matched with boots on the ground is paying dividends given the continuing excellent results being achieved in Far North Queensland. Drilling and mapping at Elephant Creek has identified that gold mineralisation is associated with an intensely sheared zone of deformed Hodgkinson Formation sediments. The work suggests that the gold mineralisation may also have a strong shoot control given some of the high grades seen in the drilling. We will be planning follow up drilling on the back of strong gold and encouraging copper results once the Queensland wet season has ended which is normally towards the end of March or April. Vital investors can look forward to further news flow from our exploration activities in Burkina Faso where we have over six month of drilling season ahead of us. | |
