| ABSTRACT: | Vital Metals Limited (ASX: VML) is pleased to report high-grade gold mineralisation from its maiden 3,000m RC drill program at the Bella Tondi prospect, part of the Bouli Gold Project in Niger, West Africa. Vital Managing Director Mark Strizek said: “The high gold grade is extremely encouraging, with BTRC005B hitting 2m @ 36.5 g/t Au from 62m being the best example. Continuity of high‐grade mineralisation is supported by the extensive voids, visible gold in RC cuttings, and mineralisation in deeper holes which so far extends over 500m strike length. These results indicate why the gold mineralisation was the focus for so many miners along the Bella Tondi Structure.” Bella Tondi is located to the north of the Sirba River within trucking distance (~25km north) of the operating 2.5Moz Samira Hill Gold Mine. Bella Tondi had seen significant hard rock artisanal mining over a strike length of up to +1.5km with up to 20,000 miners working for almost 12 months. Bella Tondi is in an area that largely remained unexplored since SEMAFO were active in the early 2000’s. SUMMA’s program in 2016 was the first modern drilling program and identified a number of gold prospects (~5km to the west of Bella Tondi) including Burke Burke and Petit Druikou which together with Bella Tondi have the potential to host significant gold mineralisation. | |
