| ABSTRACT: | Variscan Mines Limited ("Variscan" or the "Company") (ASX:VAR) is pleased to announce a further set of very high grade historic underground drilling results from the Novales-Udias Project in Cantabria, northern Spain. To date, dataset compilation works have identified over 250 underground drill-hole collars, of which 130 drill-holes for approximately 9,700m have recently been reported. This announcement presents an additional 71 drill-holes for approximately 5,500m1. Historic data capture and interpretation is continuing with a further set of results comprising approximately 67 drill-holes is expected to be available soon. The historic underground drilling data is being used to develop the understanding of the mineralisation and the geological model at Novales to execute Variscan’s strategy of identifying near term production opportunities. This announcement presents the results of 71 historic underground drill-holes for 5,564.33 metres from the Novales-Andrea mine. The collar locations of these drill-holes have been plotted in Figure 1 with the 130 underground drill holes reported previously. Figure 2 illustrates the fan drilling nature of many of the underground drill-holes. Full collar details can be found in Appendix 1. | |
