| ABSTRACT: | The 3,091 hectare Squid Option, NTS map sheet 115N/10, consists of the Squid East and Squid West properties in west-central Yukon, approximately 80 km southwest of Dawson City, Yukon Territory. The Squid East and Squid West properties comprise 148 claims within the Dawson Mining District within the unglaciated Yukon Plateau with a latitude and longitude of 63°34’N, 14037’W and 63°33’N, 14046’W, respectively. The Squid Option is situated in the headwaters of the Matson Creek placer district and is accessible via the four wheel drive Matson Creek road from the Top of the World Highway from Dawson City and by fixed wing aircraft to an airstrip at the Matson Creek placer operation. The Squid Option claims are registered to Metals Creek Resources Corp., subject to an option/joint venture agreement with Trifecta Gold Ltd., Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, whereby Trifecta Gold Ltd. can earn up to a 75% interest in the Project. This report has been prepared to support requirements of the TSX Venture Exchange in relation to the Listing Application by Trifecta Gold Ltd. The Squid Option is underlain by the Permian Klondike Schist and lesser coeval metaintrusive rocks of the Permian Sulphur Creek plutonic suite of the Yukon-Tanana terrane. The Klondike Schist, a metavolcanic assemblage, is known to host gold mineralization in the Klondike and Dawson Range Gold districts and base metal mineralization in the Finlayson, Sixtymile and White Gold districts. | |
