| ABSTRACT: | Trek Metals Limited (“Trek” or “Company”) is pleased to announce the final three drill holes from the recently completed drilling programme at its flagship Kroussou Zinc‐Lead Project in Gabon (“Kroussou” or “Project”). Dikaki Channel Assays from the final three drillholes completed within the Dikaki Channel continue to show that it contains a highly significant, very thick and continuous accumulation of sulphide mineralisation, very near to the surface. Results from these final three drillholes include 5.4m @ 3.2% Zn + Pb (DKDD037, from 11.8m) from within a broader mineralized envelope of 49.6m @ 1.1% Zn + Pb and 10.0m @ 1.9% Zn + Pb (DKDD035, from 48.0m) within an interval of 62.3m @ 0.9% Zn + Pb. The Company is poised to present an Exploration Target to the market in the early part of February that aims to clearly demonstrate the significance of this discovery at the Kroussou Project. The mineralisation here has been demonstrated as very widespread, continuous and highly amenable to simple processing producing saleable, high‐grade zinc and lead concentrate (see ASX announcement 08 November 2018). Most importantly, all targets are at or near surface and amenable to conventional open‐pit mining methods. Following receipt of these final results Trek’s Managing Director, Bradley Drabsch, commented: “We have achieved everything we wanted to with this drilling program, the significance of which can’t be overstated. We have taken, what was an historic dataset with limited drilling and demonstrated that with a little more work, Kroussou has the potential of developing into a very large, potentially world class, zinc‐lead project. The outlook for both commodities remains strong in the long term and we are highly confident that easily accessible, open pit, high quality ore sources such as a those we are demonstrating to be present at Kroussou, will be highly sought after by the market.” | |
