| ABSTRACT: | Assay results from a further 71 Reverse Circulation percussion (RC) holes completed to 8 May 2017 have been received and checked. All these holes are located on the Wild Kate Prospect area (Figure 1). Drilling is now nearing completion with only limited RC holes remaining at Wild Kate. All work will be completed by middle August. The adverse weather conditions have not yet abated and the Burnt Hut Prospect will remain largely untested. Although wide widths of silexite are being intersected, the tungsten mineralisation meeting the Company’s minimum criteria of 1,000ppm (0.1%) W over a 3 metre downhole intercept is not consistent within it. The silexite is however fertile, i.e. it contains variable amounts of mineralisation over wide widths and will be better understood once all assays are received. The silexite does contain approximately 20% topaz as part of its composition with quartz constituting the balance and the Company’s research into industrial applications for the topaz at the UNSW is progressing and bulk industrial markets are also being investigated As can be seen in the Wild Kate cross section in Figure 2, the silexite sills have a variable thickness of clay overlying them. This was not expected or previously reported and although free digging, will have a negative financial impact on the Project where present. Research into uses and markets for the clay are also being investigated. | |
