| ABSTRACT: | West African gold developer and explorer Tietto Minerals Limited (ASX: TIE) (Tietto or the Company) is pleased to announce that it has successfully completed its 2018 first drilling campaign in the middle tenement of the three tenements comprising the Abujar gold project in Côte d’Ivoire. A total of 60 holes were drilled in RC (reverse circulation) or RC with DD (diamond drill) tail for 6,441.3m including 5,394.4m RC and 1,046.9m DD. Tietto Managing Director Dr Caigen Wang commented: “Confirmation of the depth extension of the Abujar Main deposit is an important step in upgrading the existing resource at Abujar Main from an average vertical depth of between 120m and 170m to up to 300m in vertical depth, or up to a 76% increase in the vertical depth of the resource. Tietto Minerals Ltd Level 3, 88 William Street Perth, WA 6000 Tel: +61 8 9331 6710 Fax: +61 8 6316 1428 Web: www.tietto.com “The discovery in the south at Pischon now gives Pischon a strike length which is comparable to the Abujar Main deposit and provides multiple targets for drilling in mid2018. “Drilling results from Pischon South which were designed on the basis of soil geochem and pitting results gives us substantial encouragement for the upcoming assay results for shallow RC holes drilled at Mandanou, Golikro and the Zoukpangbeu North prospect, where similar soil geochem and pitting results were present. “The extensive and strong 15km long and up to 4km wide soil geochem anomaly on the Abujar South tenement which Tietto has reported in this media and ASX release are the first exploration results from this tenement which Tietto will now begin to intensively explore.” Dr Wang added: “We are very excited about the sheer number of potential large scale gold mineralisation targets in the Abujar Project Area pipeline. | |
