| ABSTRACT: | Terramin Australia Limited (ASX:TZN) announces the outcome from an initial Optimisation Study (‘the Study’) for the Company’s 65% owned Tala Hamza Zinc and Lead Project in Algeria. The Study has identified the potential to substantially increase production rates and introduce additional mid-grade resources, with minimal change to the mine life and expected capital expenditure. The optimisation scenario leads to improved utilisation of the Resource and realises scale efficiencies, which may lower per unit costs, increase overall production and ultimately increase the value and returns of the project. The Study was undertaken to assist in determining whether a multi-scenario multi-criteria optimisation review be commissioned and results of the Study should not be interpreted as a projection of the amount of resource that may be converted to reserve. The Study has been at an introductory level and outcomes are not to be construed as implying a change to the recently announced Ore Reserves (refer ASX announcement on 29 August 2018 ‘Tala Hamza Resources and Reserves Statement’) “The results of initial optimisation study work has been very promising. The opportunity to potentially treat more of the Resource, increase throughput and bring forward production into the first 10 years of operation can be expected to present significant upside. The compelling results have encouraged us to expedite optimisation to capture the project’s full potential.
