ABSTRACT:Surge Exploration’s Copper Porphyry property is located in the Omenica region approximately 270 kilometres northwest of Prince George in north central British Columbia. Surge Exploration has entered into an agreement to acquire the Sunlight property of four contiguous mineral claims adjacent to Surge’s Copper Porphyry property from Venture Capital IQ Inc. for $16,000 dollars (Canadian) and 2,000,000 shares of Surge Exploration. The property is comprised of four MTO claims and covers 6,832 hectares (16,882 acres) and is situated in a Hogem Plutonic Complex adjacent to the Pinchi Fault. The Pinchi Fault is a major structure separating the oceanic derived Cache Creek Terrane and mafic volcanic, island arc derived, Quesnel Terrane. The Hogem Plutonic Complex is a Jurassic intrusive suite intruded into Triassic-Jurassic Takla group volcanics and sediments. To the author’s knowledge, no exploration work or mineral occurrences have been identified on the Sunlight property, however the property is adjacent to the Lorraine property of Teck Resources Limited where a NI 43- 101 compliant resource estimate of 6,419,000 tonnes of 0.61% copper with 0.23grams/tonne gold (indicated) and 28,823,000 tonnes of 0.45% copper with 0.19 grams/tonne gold (inferred) (Giroux, Lindinger, 2016) has been identified at the Lorraine Deposit. The author cautions that this estimate is not within the Sunlight property and is not indicative of any mineralization on the Sunlight property and the author has not independently verified the resource estimates. A two-phase exploration program is proposed for the under explored southern part of the Sunlight property. The first phase should entail mapping, prospecting, rock, stream sediment and soil sampling. Contingent upon favourable results of Phase I, a second phase of IP geophysics of the most prospective targets is proposed. The Phase I surface work is budgeted at a cost of $50,000, the Phase II drilling at $110,550.
