| ABSTRACT: | Sunstone Metals Limited (ASX:STM) is pleased to announce that the latest assays from its re-named Brama target in Ecuador, combined with some strong 3D magnetic signatures, have highlighted the potential for clusters of higher-grade mineralisation. In light of this latest evidence, Sunstone now believes it has several higher-grade drill targets within a very large but lower-grade gold-copper porphyry system. Sunstone holds an 87.5% interest in the Bramaderos property following a recent modification to the JV agreement (see ASX announcement dated 7th January 2020). Assays from hole BMDD007 identify mineralised intervals that correlate with relatively more magnetic bodies. Detailed analysis of the 3-D magnetic model identifies clusters of these more magnetic bodies at Brama, and at the other 5 porphyry targets within the Bramaderos project. Sunstone Managing Director Malcolm Norris said: “We have clearly demonstrated a very large gold-copper mineralised body at the Brama target. Within this body that measures at least 1,000m x 500m are several higher-grade zones. This is consistent with the new 3-D magnetic model and provides the basis for planning additional drilling to target >0.5g/t gold and >0.1% copper domains. | |
