| ABSTRACT: | Growth-focused Western Australian nickel company St George Mining Limited (ASX: SGQ) (“St George” or “the Company”) is pleased to announce significant intersections of nickel-copper sulphides at the Investigators Prospect – part of its flagship Mt Alexander Project, located in the north-eastern Goldfields. The Investigators Prospect extends for 1.5km along the east-west oriented Cathedrals Belt at Mt Alexander. The SAMSON electromagnetic (EM) survey completed by St George at Investigators identified large conductive areas, indicating the potential for the presence of significant sulphide mineralisation. The largest of the SAMSON EM anomalies at Investigators spans 800m east-west and 400m north-south. Drilling has already identified significant nickel-copper sulphide mineralisation here, as shown in Figure 1. John Prineas, St George Mining’s Executive Chairman, said: “MAD156 and MAD157 have confirmed further extensions of the known high-grade mineralisation within the large SAMSON EM anomaly at Investigators. “With substantial areas of the EM anomaly yet to be drilled, we are excited at the potential to discover more high-grade mineralisation at this prospect. “We will continue our aggressive drilling to scope out the scale of the deposits on the Belt with further drilling at Investigators to be followed by drilling at new targets including Radar, Bullets and Fish Hook.” | |
