| ABSTRACT: | Emerging Western Australian nickel company St George Mining Limited (ASX: SGQ) (“St George” or “the Company”) is pleased to announce that high grade nickel-copper sulphides have been intersected in the first drill hole completed in the drill programme underway at the Mt Alexander Project, located near Leonora in the north-eastern Goldfields. MAD108 was completed at the Investigators Prospect to test EM conductor MAD98:X1 which was modelled at 205m downhole MAD108 confirms intersections of mineralisation on the MAD60 section at Investigators over a very significant 320m plunge length with mineralisation open to the north-west (see Figure 1). The photograph on the right shows drill core of MAD108 from the massive sulphides intersected between 206.03m to 207.3m downhole. Coarse grained pentlandite and chalcopyrite are evident in the drill core. Laboratory assays are pending and are required to confirm the grades shown herein which are based on portable XRF analysis only. Further details of the mineralised interval are set out below | |
