ABSTRACT:St George Mining Limited (ASX: SGQ) (‘St George Mining’ or ‘the Company’) is pleased to announce that the first laboratory assays received for the recent diamond drilling programme at the Mt Alexander Project have confirmed that drilling at the Cathedrals Prospect has intersected high grade nickel‐copper sulphide mineralisation with high values of cobalt and PGEs (Platinum Group Elements). Assays have been received for drill holes MAD14, MAD15, MAD16 and MAD17 which were drilled at the Cathedrals Prospect to test three separate EM conductors. MAD15, MAD16 and MAD17 intersected nickel‐ copper sulphide mineralisation. The tenor of the massive nickel sulphide mineralisation in MAD15 is very high at 9.5%Ni. Together with the associated high copper, cobalt and very high PGEs, this mineralisation is likely to produce a clean and high value concentrate. In addition, the sulphides have elevated silver (up to 6.5g/t) and also some anomalous gold (up to 0.38g/t). The combination of mineralisation at shallow depth (from 30m) and high grades, as well as proximity to existing infrastructure and processing plants, is likely to be very favourable for the potential economics of the Project.
