ABSTRACT:Silver Mines Limited (ASX:SVL) (“Silver Mines” or “the Company”) is pleased to provide an update on reverse circulation drilling at the Bowdens Silver Project located near Mudgee in New South Wales with drill results from the Plines prospect. The first drill hole from Plines has returned high grade assays up to 190g/t silver. The Plines prospect is located approximately 200 metres to the southwest of the Bundarra zone at the Bowdens Silver Deposit. Even though the holes reported in this release are on the south-western margin of the inferred resource area (refer Figure 3) there is little previous data support for mineralisation extending beyond a northwest-southeast striking bounding fault. The mineralisation identified in the first holes from Plines are to the southwest of this fault. The prospect was identified by a multi-element geochemistry anomaly covering an area of approximately 800 metres by 600 metres. Historic shallow drilling in the vicinity of Plines was not uniformly assayed but did return anomalous zinc and silver results. The Company has conducted an initial test of five wide spaced holes at Plines with the first two holes results presented here. The remaining 3 drill holes have been completed, with the assay results pending. Visually the first hole contained the best mineralisation of the five and provides a vector to further mineralisation to the south from PLRC17001. The presence of broad zones of low-grade zinc mineralisation is of extra interest to the Company and is suggestive of a more substantial mineralised system in this area or at depth. Further drilling is being planned.
