| ABSTRACT: | Deflector remains a relatively early stage and shallow underground mine. The increase in Ore Reserves reflects the step change in ore body knowledge and data gained from 3 years of underground mining and advanced development, which has provided the necessary drill positions to define lode structures and extensions. To date, only two full years of underground drilling has been completed at Deflector and the significant Ore Reserve and Mineral Resource growth over this limited period supports the potential to discover further lode extensions as the Mineral Resource remains open in multiple directions. Following the 2019 Ore Reserve increase at Deflector, the priority for the FY20 Deflector exploration program was to extend Mineral Resources along strike and adjacent to the 2019 Mineral Resources envelop. Early in FY20, surface drilling successfully identified extensions to high grade gold/copper mineralisation immediately to the south of the 2019 Ore Reserve and Mineral Resource limits. This early success focussed most of the surface and underground drilling on infill and extension of the DSW lodes. | |
