| ABSTRACT: | VANCOUVER, June 22, 2017 /CNW/ - SilverCrest Metals Inc. ("SilverCrest"or the"Company") is pleased to announceadditional drillresults for the Babicanora Veinwithin the Las Chispas Property (the"Property") located in Sonora, Mexico. Thesefurther drilling results,combined with resultsannounced onMarch 2, 2017, showan increased high gradefootprint within the Babicanora Vein (seeattached Figures). The Babicanora Vein is one of 19 epithermal veins that have been identified to date on the Property, which historicallywas one ofthelargestsilver-gold producers in Sonora. As part ofthe Company's ongoing PhaseIIexploration program, four drillsarecurrentlyworking at the Las Chispas, WilliamTell, Varela, Giovanniand Babicanora veins, with further resultsanticipated over the nextseveralmonths. N. Eric Fier, CPG, P.Eng, Presidentand CEO, remarked, "It is stillearly days for usat Babicanora,and high-grade mineralization is open in all directionsalong strikeand to depth ofthe Babicanora Vein. We believethereis strong potentialfor further high grade mineralization,as we systematically expand drilling along strike, down dip and subsequently intersect otherassociated veins. Originally, weassumed the Babicanora Vein had been historicallymined outabovethe Babicanoraadit; therefore, our initialtarget wasat depth. It nowappears that only thesoftsheared rock has been partiallymined, leaving significant hard rock mineralization in place. Soft rock mining is mentioned in historic Babicanorareports dating back to the 1800's describing excavation by axe with no blasting required. Ourexplorationwork at Babicanoraincludes surfaceand underground drilling, which iseasily accessible viathefour metre high by four metre wideadit that isapproximately 230 metres long and was constructed in the 1860's. With continued success, we will be diligently drilltesting along the projected strikelength ofthe Babicanoratrend which is nowover 4 kilometres long." | |
