| ABSTRACT: | Saturn Metals (ASX:STN) (“Saturn”, “the Company”) is pleased to announce results from reverse circulation (RC) drilling focussing on southerly extensions to the Apollo Hill system on its 100%-owned Apollo Hill Gold Project, 60km from Leonora in the Western Australian goldfields. Drilling was undertaken primarily on covered terrain to the south of Apollo Hill around Tefnut. An initial phase of step out exploration was completed as part of the Company’s efforts to rapidly expand the Apollo Hill mineralised corridor and provide further leads to grow and improve the Project’s 781,000oz Mineral Resource1. Intersections of 3m @ 1.24g/t Au from 56m and 2m @ 4.97g/t Au from 105m (AHRC0321) at Tefnut have highlighted the potential to develop more Ra style mineralisation at this important prospect which sits approximately 1km south of Apollo Hill. Figure 1 shows extensional drill locations and intersections relative to the Apollo Hill Resource. In addition, step-out drilling at South Lake, 300m east of Tefnut on an adjacent section (Figure 2), has returned significant gold intersections and mineral alteration beneath a thin (1-5m) cover sequence. A shallow intersection of 1m @ 1.59g/t Au from 56m in AHRC0313 has highlighted the continuation of the mineralised corridor to the east. | |
