ABSTRACT:Saturn Metals (ASX: STN) is pleased to report that a number of highly significant near-surface drill intersections have been returned from the recent RC drilling program at its 100%-owned Apollo Hill Gold Project, near Leonora in the Western Australian goldfields. The drilling undertaken in this part of the program focused along higher grade structural zones or shoots (Armstrong and Eagle Shoots) within the main Apollo Hill deposit, which has a 0.5Moz JORC 2012 compliant inferred gold resource of 17.2Mt at 0.9 g/t Au. Importantly, the results returned have improved the geological continuity of those higher-grade zones within the resource, highlighting the potential to increase the overall grade of the known mineralised system. The drilling has also extended the Armstrong and Eagle Shoots practically to surface (illustrated in Figures 2 and 3 below) and demonstrated the down-plunge continuity of the Armstrong Shoot, which remains open at depth (current drilling only to 180m vertical depth, illustrated in Figure 4). Assays remain pending for five drill holes (extensional drilling) out of the 35 drill holes completed. All material results are listed in Table 1. Details of holes reported in this announcement and holes for which assays remain pending are included in Table 2. Saturn Managing Director Ian Bamborough said: “We continue to be extremely pleased with the results at Apollo Hill. The new data has provided further evidence of the higher-grade architecture within the large Apollo Hill gold system. We look forward to having a good look at the mineralised system in diamond core when drilling commences shortly. All results will be incorporated into our next resource estimation, which is planned for mid to late 2018”. The Company will provide further information as results are received and analysed
