| ABSTRACT: | 23 June, 2016. Santana Minerals Limited (“Santana”) reports on the first assay results of the RC (Reverse Circulation) drilling at the Cuitaboca Project, Sinaloa, Mexico. 15 RC holes for a total of 1961m have been completed on the Cuitaboca Project. 14 holes were drilled into the bulk tonnage silver target of Mojardina in the Southern Sector of the Cuitaboca Project (Fig. 1) and a further one hole into the recently announced Carajuca gold zone in the Central Sector of the Cuitaboca Project (Refer ASX Announcement 7 June 2016). Assay results are complete for the first four holes drilled to test the zones previously reported where broad intercepts from sawn channels indicated the bulk tonnage silver potential (Refer ASX Announcements 11 January 2016 and 1 March 2016). These drill assay results suggest confirmation of a zone of at least 200m strike and variable widths of up to 83m downhole (~60m horizontal width) as per RC16CT-03. Mineralisation has been logged in the RC chips for 13 of the 14 drill holes in the Mojardina Prospect. These results indicate an open mineralised shoot along the Javelina-Evangelina mineralised vein flexure within Mojardina Loop. | |
