| ABSTRACT: | Micon International Limited (Micon) has been retained by Sandy Lake Gold Inc. (SLG) to prepare an independent Technical Report in accordance with National Instrument 43-101 (NI 43-101) on the Aremu-Oko gold property located in Cuyuni-Mazaruni Region of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana, South America. The qualified person for the report is Tania Ilieva, Ph.D., P.Geo., Senior Geologist with Micon. She visited the Aremu-Oko gold property from the 10th to 12th of August, 2018, and examined local geology and historic mine workings, collected GPS data from outcrops and access roads, and collected rock samples from Aremu mine area and Oko shear zone. Micon’s Qualified Person, Dr. Ilieva, is independent of SLG under Section 1.5 of NI 43-101 and has no previous involvement with the mineral properties described in this report. 1.2 LOCATION, PROPERTY DESCRIPTION AND OWNERSHIP The Aremu-Oko property consists of 17 medium scale prospecting and mining permits (MSMP). Aremu Mine’s permits cover 3,759 hectares (ha) around the past producer Aremu gold mine and they are held in trust by Mrs. Violet Smith for Bartica Investments Inc. (BII). The Oko permits cover 3,390 ha around the Oko gold deposit and they are held by Mr. Michael Vieira, subject to an Option Agreement with Mrs. Violet Smith. It is proposed that Mrs. Smith will assign this agreement to Sandy Lake Gold Inc. on closing of the transaction, announced in News Release (www.sandylakegold.com/news/sandy-lake-gold-announcesstrategic-property-acquisitions-in-guyana/November, 2018). | |
