| ABSTRACT: | Rox Resources Limited (ASX: RXL) (“Rox” or “the Company”) is pleased to announce that a 2,500m RC and diamond drilling program has commenced at its highly-prospective Collurabbie nickel project, located 200km north of Laverton in Western Australia (Figure 1). Rox is also pleased to announce that is has received assay results from an aircore drilling program completed at the Sholl Range prospect at Fisher East (Figures 2 & 3). The program was designed to test for prospective ultramafic rocks under shallow cover in an area previously interpreted as granite. Anomalous nickel, copper and cobalt values have been intersected near surface over substantial thicknesses (Table 1) and over at least 800m of strike. Rox Managing Director, Mr Ian Mulholland said, “Our nickel projects continue to show great promise, and this is further reinforced by the latest set of results from our Sholl Range prospect, which is located 30km south of Rox’s existing nickel sulphide mineral resources at Fisher East. The results from Sholl Range show the continued potential of the 40km of strike that Rox has under tenure. “The ultramafic sequence at Sholl Range was previously mapped as granite, so our work has now opened up an additional 20km of strike potential. “In addition, we are continuing to explore at Collurabbie to follow up strong aircore drilling results at a number of prospects. “Rox is one of a very few junior ASX companies that has defined JORC nickel sulphide resources in Western Australia. This puts us in a unique, and advantageous position when it comes to development opportunities as the nickel price continues to appreciate and interest in the nickel sulphide sector continues to grow”, Mr Mulholland said. | |
