ABSTRACT:The present Technical Report provides a description of the overall work completed as well as parameters used for the estimation of Mineral Resources and Mineral Reserves of the Island Gold Mine as of December 31, 2016. The purpose of this report is to support the disclosure of the updated Mineral Resource and Mineral Reserves estimates. Historical details, geological information (local and regional) and general information relevant to the Island Gold Mine are described within the report. This report conforms to National Instrument 43-101. The data used in this report was prepared by the Technical Services staff of the Island Gold Mine under the supervision of Raynald Vincent, P.Eng., M.G.P, and Léon Grondin LeBlanc, P.Eng., respectively Chief Geologist and Chief Engineer for Richmont Mines Inc. (Richmont), and employees of the Island Gold Mine. Several sections were extracted from the NI 43-101 report completed by Genivar Inc. in 2007 (Genivar, now WSP Inc.), from the NI 43-101 report completed in April 2014 on the Island Gold Deep Project (Adam, 2014), from NI 43-101 report completed by InnovExplo in 2015 on the Preliminary Economic Assessment for the Island Gold Lower Zones, and from the NI 43-101 report completed in March 2016 on the mineral reserve and resource estimate of the Island Gold Mine as of December 31,2015 (Bastien and Vincent, 2016). The parameters used for the geological and structural interpretation of the project as well as for the Mineral Resource and Reserves estimates are based on the best knowledge of the Island Gold technical department at the time of the estimates. Technical parameters for Mineral Resource and Mineral Reserve estimates were determined by the Technical Services department under the guidance of Richmont’s head office.
