| ABSTRACT: | Resource expansion drill programmes at the Duketon project continue to target high potential areas for Mineral Resource expansions with a view to delivering further extensions to the mine life of the current operations. The immediate Resource expansion projects at Duketon include the Rosemont Underground area and the Russells Find and Reichelts Find projects located south of Garden Well operations. After successful delivery of a maiden Ore Reserve at Tooheys Well in the June 2017 quarter, Regis’ exploration focus has also turned to generating the next suite of regional exploration targets at Duketon. Six new regional targets, all with undrilled greenstone strike of between 1 – 2.5 kilometres have been identified and are ready to drill. A 27,000 metre drill programme to test these targets will commence in the September 2017 quarter. Successful start-up of mining operations at Gloster and Erlistoun during FY2016 has shown the strong value that can be delivered through the addition of Reserves at satellite projects at Duketon within simple trucking distance of the 10mtpa processing capacity in three processing plants at the project. An extensive infill drilling programme at Regis’ 100% owned McPhillamys Gold Project in NSW is expected to deliver a Mineral Resource estimation update and maiden Ore Reserve in the September 2017 quarter. Regis plans to complete a definitive feasibility study of the project and commence the approvals process in the December 2017 quarter (refer separate ASX announcement 4th July 2017). | |
