ABSTRACT:Zinc developer Red River Resources Limited (ASX: RVR) (“Red River” or the “Company”) is pleased to provide details on its exploration activities at Thalanga Far West, part of the Thalanga Zinc Project in Queensland. Assay results have been received for TH678, the first hole completed in the planned fifteen hole Far West infill drilling program. TH678 intersected 2.8m @ 1.7% Cu, 3.2% Pb, 11.5% Zn, 0.3 g/t Au & 65 g/t Ag (21.6% Zn Eq.) from 68.3m down hole (down hole width). A further five holes (TH679, TH680, TH681, TH682 and TH683) of the program have all intersected massive and semi-massive sulphide mineralisation. Assay results are pending, and the seventh hole in the program (TH684) will commence today (4 October). The Far West infill program follows on from the successful Far West Up Dip Extension program, completed in March 2016, in which all seven holes intersected high-grade polymetallic massive sulphide and semi-massive sulphide mineralisation. Red River’s Managing Director Mel Palancian commented: “It is pleasing to see the first assay results from the infill drilling program with TH678 returning a high-grade intercept of 2.8m @ 21.6% Zn Eq. from fresh high-grade semimassive sulphide mineralisation at approximately 50m vertical depth. The success of the program continues with both TH682 and TH683 intersecting zones of massive and semi-massive sulphide mineralisation, and we are starting TH684, the seventh hole in the planned program today.”
