| ABSTRACT: | Pursuit Minerals Limited (ASX: PUR) has received geochemical results for vanadium magnetite concentrates from nine holes drilled into the southwest magnetic zone on the Airijoki Project in northern Sweden (Figure One). The results from the vanadium magnetite concentrates confirm that the vanadium mineralisation from the southwest magnetic zone produces very high-grade magnetite concentrates, and the vanadium mineralisation is of exceptional thickness. Results for vanadium magnetite concentrates from nine holes drilled into the northeast magnetic zone are expected to be received in late January/early February 2019. The vanadium magnetite concentrates from the southwest magnetic zone, produced by Davis Tube Recovery (DTR), routinely delivered grades in excess of 2% V2O5 over substantial thicknesses up to 152m. Drill holes AIR18-003, AIR18-005 and AIR18-008 had maximum V2O5 grades in the magnetite concentrate of 2.4%, 2.5% and 2.3% respectively. Pursuit Minerals Managing Director Jeremy Read said the results greatly exceeded expectations due to the mineralisation being up to and exceeding 200m in down hole thickness, while still producing vanadium magnetite concentrate grades over 2% V2O5 for downhole thicknesses up to 152m. “We now know that the southwest magnetic zone at Airjijoki is a major new accumulation of vanadium mineralisation producing vanadium magnetite concentrates whose grade is in the very upper echelon of vanadium projects globally, which is a fantastic result for the project.” | |
