Prodigy Gold Managing Director Matt Briggs said: “The recent Galaxy RAB program is the first drilling on this tenement in the last ten years. The program tested for extensions to known mineralised trends in the prospective Dead Bullock and Mt Charles Formation. Historic open-pits occur as close as 5km northwest along strike of the Galaxy Prospect at Jims Pit. Future work on this prospect will be reassessed following analysis of the geochemistry data and the airborne magnetic survey currently underway.” The Galaxy Prospect is located on the southern extension of the Central Tanami trend which produced 2.2M ozs of gold between 1997 and 2002 from a number of deposits, all hosted within the Mount Charles Formation. Jims Pit, located 5km northwest of Galaxy, is part of the Central Tanami trend and produced ~120kozs between 1998 and 2001.
