ABSTRACT: | Prodigy Gold Managing Director Matt Briggs said: “These new results continue to expand, and further define the areas of interest at the Capstan Prospect. Top Hat islocated 3 kilometres to the south of the previously reported 4.5 kilometre long gold trend. This represents an additional area of gold mineralisation on a parallel fold hinge within the Dead Bullock Formation that hosts the 13Moz Callie Gold Mine.” “Based on the thickness and grade, hole BL0316 has either intersected a primary mineralised structure or is located very near to it which is extremely encouraging. Quartz veining was observed in the mineralised interval which is typical of the style of mineralisation targeted. We believe Capstan is a large scale gold system and the resultsreturned recently are starting to confirm this.” ”The final results for 26 holes covering an additional two target areas to the south and east are yet to be returned and are expected later this month. Infill aircore drilling at Capstan and reconnaissance drilling on adjacent prospects is planned to commence before the end of June.” Capstan is a 22km x 8km sub-area of the Bluebush Project, falling within the Trans-Tanami Fault Zone located 50km north west of the world-class Callie Gold Mine (Figure 2). The interpreted folding and faulting complexity and geochemical anomalism of the Dead Bullock Formation (host rocks of Callie) highlight the prospectivity of the area. Numerous structures have been interpreted at Capstan with associated soil and shallow drilling anomalism. Approximately 95% of the Capstan Prospect is undercover and surface sampling has only been effective in very limited areas in the north and south of the prospect. | |
