ABSTRACT: | Plymouth Minerals Limited (ASX: PLH) (“Plymouth” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce it has received the first assays from drilling at San Jose lithium deposit. These assays were from RC pre-collars drilled in December. Results were above expectations with several, large (+10m) intercepts of +1.0% Li2O) within holes which were essentially entirely mineralised. These holes are targeting higher grade mineralisation, which is interpreted to be intersected in the diamond tails that will complete these holes. Full tables and plans in Appendices. The diamond tails planned are targeting interpreted, higher-grade lithium mineralisation interpreted to be open at depth and starting at approximately 150m downhole (~110m vertical). Plymouth has a programme of approximately 2,400m of diamond drilling underway. This programme commenced last week and is designed to confirm historic mineralisation reported previously (+8,400m of RC and Diamond drilling conducted 1985-1991) that supported positive optimisation and feasibility Study results. This high-grade was optimised in open pits as part of the historic feasibility study. The two RC pre-collars were drilled on “Section 1” at the south-eastern end of the deposit. The deposit was historically drilled on 7 “East-West” sections, 75m apart on north-south spacing. The main body of mineralisation is located on Sections 3 and 4, as defined by historic drilling. The deposit is considered open to the north and west. | |
