| ABSTRACT: | Platina Resources Limited (ASX: PGM) is pleased to advise receipt of additional assay results from the recent drilling program at its Owendale Scandium, Cobalt, Nickel and Platinum project in central New South Wales, Australia. The two new batches include a further 529 samples, all assayed in 1 metre drilled intervals, with grades ranging up to 1100 ppm Sc, 0.72% Co, 1.00% Ni, 2.5 g/t Pt and 0.04 g/t Pd. The latest drill results include some infill and some step-out drilling from the higher grade scandium and cobalt zone at Owendale North (refer Figure 1.). The drilling has confirmed an area of significant scandium and cobalt mineralisation which previously had low confidence and was classified in the Inferred Mineral Resource category. In addition, new step-out drilling has identified high grade scandium and cobalt well outside of the area previously estimated as Mineral Resource, extending the mineralisation by up to 400 m. The step-out drilling program also indicates the new scandium and cobalt mineralisation remains open towards the north (refer Figures 1 to 3). Platina Managing Director Rob Mosig said, “These new results are pleasing because they demonstrate new high grade extensions to our scandium and cobalt resources…. Our PFS is on track for completion by the end of this month. The new drilling will be incorporated into an updated Mineral Resource for the subsequent Feasibility Study.” | |
