| ABSTRACT: | Peninsula Energy Limited (Peninsula or Company) is pleased to provide an update on operations at the Lance Projects in Wyoming, USA (Lance Projects). During the period from June 2016 to present, Strata completed over 250 mining wells within MU2 (refer to Figure 1 below for layout of the mine units within the Ross Permit Area). The mining wells are primarily for header houses 5, 6 and 7. The well installation drilling has also intersected strong uranium mineralisation, testing the extent of the known ore zone and to date the results are in line with resource grade expectations for the ore body, a positive result ahead of the commencement of production and extraction of uranium from this mining zone. Highlights included drill hole MU2-OZ196 which intersected 10ft @ 1,060ppm U3O8 (GT 1.06), drill hole MU2-OZ296 which intersected 12ft @ 800ppm U3O8 (GT 0.96) and drill hole MU1-OZ045 which intersected 18.5ft @ 510ppm U3O8 (GT 0.94). As expected, a small number of the holes were barren, consistent with the Company’s understanding of the MU2 ore resource boundaries. | |
