| ABSTRACT: | Toronto, Ontario, October 26, 2017 – Orford Mining Corporation (“Orford”) (TSX-V: ORM) is pleased to announce multiple Au-Cu-Co drilling intersections and extensive new high-grade gold surface prospecting discoveries along the “Qiqavik Break” from the 2017 summer exploration program conducted at its 100% controlled Qiqavik Project in northern Quebec. David Christie, President and CEO of Orford, commented, “We are very encouraged by these results, which display the tremendous potential of this discovery in a new gold belt located in a previously unexplored region of Canada. In nine short weeks of exploration, we have made 2 three drill-confirmed high-grade discoveries that each extend over hundreds of meters. We have also made five new high-grade gold prospecting discoveries at surface that remain untested by drilling. A substantial portion of the property is left to be explored. As the “first boots” on the ground, Orford has been able to identify a significant structural break, the Qiqavik break, across our 40 km long property that holds huge potential for an economic gold discovery. This is in much the same way as the Larder Lake-Cadillac break in the Abitibi, the Boulder-Lefroy Fault System in Kalgoorlie, Australia and the Ashanti Fault System in West Africa.” | |
