| ABSTRACT: | Nzuri Copper Limited (ASX: NZC) (Nzuri or the Company) is pleased to provide an update on its ongoing exploration program within the Fold & Thrust Belt JV (“FTBJV”, Figure 1), located within the Western Katangan Copperbelt in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) “Drilling at Monwezi 2 has validated a significant historical intercept and identified a mineralised Mines Series Fragment with copper and cobalt mineralisation now recorded over strike length of at least 300m. This is an immediate target for resource drilling this year with the potential to significantly extend the Kalongwe mine life. Meanwhile, Monwezi 7 has delivered multiple exciting high-grade cobalt mineralisation intercepts from both drilling and trenching that will be followed up as priority this year.” “Recent work at Kasangasi, including a reinterpretation of recent drilling, has strengthened the potential for a Kamoa-Kakula style discovery within the FTBJV. We have now identified a 3km strike length of prospective stratigraphy which requires further drilling in 2018. We have a host of new targets currently being defined based on the recently completed aeromagnetic survey, with more newsto come on this. With a strong balance sheet following the cornerstone investment from Huayou Cobalt, we have the capacity to execute a significant exploration effort in 2018.” | |
