ABSTRACT:Nouveau Monde Graphite Inc. (‘NMG”) is a listed company trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol NOU. NMG owns the Matawinie graphite Property (“Property”) The Property consists of 220 map-designated claims forming eight (8) main claim blocks. This Updated Pre-feasibility Study (“Updated PFS”) focuses on the Tony Block consisting of 145 contiguous map-designated claims. The Tony Claim Block center is located approximately six (6) km South West of the community of Saint-Michel-desSaints, 120 km as the crow flies North of Montréal. NMG has mandated Met-Chem, a division of DRA Americas Inc. (“MC-DRA”) to complete this Technical Report, following National Instruments 43-101 (“NI 43-101”) rules and guidelines, regarding the Tony Block in order to advance the Project. Due to regulatory obligations stated in National Instrument 43-101, it is important to note that a significant increase in the Mineral Resources of the West Zone prompted the completion of this Updated Pre-feasibility Study (“Updated PFS”). The increase in resources is based on a newly acquired land package (see July 5th, 2017 press release), on the diamond drilling program completed in January 2018 (refer to the March 1st, 2018, press release), new geotechnical data and hydrogeological modelling. Regulatory time constraints have precluded an updating of Mineral Reserves based on the current Mineral Resources. Studies conducted to incorporate the present Mineral Resources to the Project are ongoing, and results are expected to be part of an upcoming Feasibility Study Technical Report following NI 43-101 guidelines.
