| ABSTRACT: | In June 2017, Nortec Minerals Corporation (Nortec) commissioned SEMS Exploration Services Ltd (SEMS) to prepare an Independent Technical Report (the Report) consistent with the Canadian Securities Administrators National Instrument 43-101, Companion Policy 43-101CP, and Form 43-101F1 (NI 43-101) for the Tomboko Gold Project in the Siguiri Préfecture of northeast Guinea, West Africa. The Republic of Guinea (Guinea) is located in West Africa on the Gulf of Guinea and shares borders with Guinea Bissau to the west, Senegal and Mali to the north, and Côte d'Ivoire, Liberia and Sierra Leone to the southeast, figure 1. To the southwest is the Atlantic Ocean. Guinea has a total land area of approximately 245,860 square kilometres (km²) which is about the size of the United Kingdom. Guinea’s capital city, Conakry, is located on the coast. Guinea gained independence from France on 2nd October 1958. Guinea is a predominantly Islamic country, with Muslims representing 85 percent of the population. The country has a population of approximately thirteen million (13M) (as estimated by the United Nations, 2017) and the official language is French The Tomboko permit is located in northeast Guinea and covers a surface area of 75.9km², figure 1. The property lies about 125km to the NNW of the regional capital, Kankan, 30km to the northwest of the local administration capital, Siguiri, and immediately west of the Siguiri gold mine, figure 2. | |
