| ABSTRACT: | The Board of Nelson is delighted to advise that its first drilling program since listing on the ASX in November 2017 has returned a number of gold intercepts and significantly upgrade the prospectivity of the prospect. A broad (up to 60 metre wide) alteration zone has been intercepted with gold mineralisation associated with thin quartz veining and an increase in pyrite within the alteration zone. Multi element geochemistry analysis is planned to assess whether there is a vector towards a deeper zone of mineralisation. The company completed 19 RC Holes totalling 1183 metres in this program and is pleased with the outcomes which show high-grade gold results, a much broader alteration halo than first considered and proves depth continuity of the high grades beneath the historic Wallaby mine workings. The company is in the process of planning follow-up drilling programs that are expected to commence in Q2, 2018. The significant intercepts of all holes, reported at a lower cut off grade of 0.5 ppm Au, are presented in Table 1. | |
