| ABSTRACT: | The Board of Nelson Resources Limited (ASX:NES) (Nelson or the Company) is pleased to announce multiple significant drilling intercepts from the maiden RC drilling campaign completed at Socrates Gold Project which indicates the Company has verified the presence of a significant gold mineralised system. Executive Director, Adam Schofield commented “the significant results returned from the maiden drill campaign at Socrates has highlighted the shallow, high-grade nature of what appears to be a considerable gold mineralised system. The exploration approach taken by the team in terms of providing an alternate view towards the orientation of mineralisation has been validated by the exceptional results returned. The drilling completed has tested approximately 120m of a total 300m strike length defined by previous soil geochemical surveys. A number of notable targets remain to be tested. Follow up ground magnetics is proposed to be completed prior to further drill testing in order to gain an appropriate understanding towards the structural controls on mineralisation. This is our second drill program since listing and along with the first at the Wallaby prospect we have discovered significant gold mineralisation. This is a great result for the company and our shareholders.” | |
