| ABSTRACT: | Navarre Minerals Limited (Navarre or the Company; ASX: NML) is pleased to announce results of its highly successful maiden drilling program at the Company’s 100%-owned Glenlyle Project (EL 5497) in western Victoria, Australia (Figure 1). Navarre completed a 33 hole air core (AC) drilling program for a total of approximately 2,100 metres (drill holes GAC009 – GAC041) at the Glenlyle Project in March 2018. Drilling intersected broad zones of silver mineralisation containing several discrete veins of gold mineralisation with anomalous lead and zinc (Table 1; Figure 2). The results support Navarre’s belief that Glenlyle has the potential to host a major epithermal gold – silver system at shallow depths above a deeper porphyry target. Navarre also believes the results confirm the potential for narrow, high-grade gold and silver veins at depth and along strike within this system. Work is underway to refine target zones for follow-up drilling. Commenting on the maiden drill results, Navarre Managing Director, Geoff McDermott stated: “This is a very exciting result for a first-pass drilling campaign. It is early days but the discovery potential of a gold - silver epithermal system is a game changer for Victoria.” | |
