| ABSTRACT: | Mineral Resources Limited (ASX: MIN) (“MRL”), are pleased to announce results of recent re-sampling and infill drilling at the Wodgina Lithium Project carried out between September 2016 and February 2017. Widenbar and Associates Pty Ltd (“Widenbar”) have reviewed the updated data and produced a new Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) as at 1st March 2017. An additional area of previously unknown inferred material has been identified, which lies to the North of the Cassiterite Pit. This has added 40.11 Mt at 1.39% Li2O, bringing the total indicated and inferred mineral resource to 65.56 Mt at 1.38% Li2O, a 158% increase on the previously announced Wodgina resource on 17th February 2017. Existing reverse circulation (RC) sample pulps from previous drilling programs at Wodgina, have been retrieved from storage and submitted to Nagrom Laboratories for assaying for Li2O. A total of 3,390 assays have been received. In addition, data from 49 new RC drill holes for a total of 11,123m has been received at the date of this MRE; data from 6,004 new assay intervals has been used in the calculation. The mineral resource has been classified in the indicated and inferred categories, in accordance with the 2012 Australasian Code for Reporting of Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves (JORC Code). | |
