ABSTRACT:Mincor Resources NL (ASX: MCR) is pleased to advise that it will shortly embark on a new phase of resource expansion drilling targeting newly discovered gold trends at its 100%-owned Widgiemooltha Gold Project in Western Australia after receiving further strong assay results from recently completed infill drilling. With all assays now received from the feasibility RC drilling and six out of seven diamond holes, the results have continued the positive trend established to date at Widgiemooltha, providing confidence in existing resource estimates and demonstrating the robust nature of the gold deposits. The new phase of drilling is scheduled to start in October 2016, subject to government approvals, and will focus on extending the known gold resources – in contrast to the feasibility program, which was primarily, and successfully, aimed at confirming and infilling the existing resources. However the feasibility drilling also discovered a number of new high-potential target areas, and it is these targets that will be tested in the upcoming drill program. The targets to be drilled include the newly interpreted high-value shoots at Bass, the potential northern extension at West Oliver, the new sub-parallel trends at Hronsky, and the potential southern extension to the main Flinders Central trend. All of these targets represent previously unidentified upside. “We are very pleased with the outcome of our feasibility drilling program at Widgiemooltha, which has increased our confidence in our key gold resources and shown them to be geologically robust,” said Mincor’s CEO, Mr Peter Muccilli. “As an added bonus, the drilling has uncovered some seriously interesting new targets, and we will test these in October before finalising the resource estimates and moving onto full-scale Feasibility Studies.”
