| ABSTRACT: | Millennium Minerals Limited (Millennium or Company – ASX: MOY) is pleased to advise further high-grade oxide gold results from first pass drilling at the newly discovered Redbeard prospect, part of the Company’s 100%- owned Nullagine Gold Project (Nullagine or Project) in WA’s Pilbara region. The Redbeard Prospect is located within the Yates trend, part of the Twenty Mile Sandy Mining Centre which lies approximately 40km north-east of the Nullagine processing plant (Figure 1). Following the discovery of high-grade mineralisation at Redbeard last month (see ASX Announcement – 21 November 2017), first pass RC drilling has now been completed with the latest results includingThe first pass drilling has defined a mineralised zone (>1g/t Au) at Redbeard measuring 480m in strike, with the mineralisation remaining open to the west and down dip. Follow-up RC drilling is currently underway with the aim of establishing a maiden Mineral Resource and Ore Reserve estimate for Redbeard by early 2018. During November, reconnaissance field mapping and rock chip sampling were undertaken at the Golden Gate Mining Centre, located approximately 36km north-east of the Nullagine processing plant (Figure 1). This area has been a key focus for exploration, as deposits within the Golden Gate area have typically been amongst the highest-grade deposits discovered at Nullagine. | |
