| ABSTRACT: | The Golden Gate Mining Centre has historically delivered some of the highest-grade gold mineralisation ever mined at Nullagine, with mining of oxide mineralisation undertaken between July 2013 and February 2015. Most of the remaining mineralisation identified at Golden Gate is in sulphide ore, which was not previously mined due to the lack of a suitable processing option. With a processing route now identified, and commissioning of the Stage 1 sulphide plant upgrade scheduled for April 2019, the high-grade Golden Gate region has become a major focus for Millennium’s exploration efforts. Drilling is currently underway focused on extending and upgrading the existing Resource and Reserve areas at Golden Gate (Figure 1), ahead of the planned commencement of mine development in the September 2019 Quarter. Golden Gate is expected to contribute to a strong uplift in head grade at Nullagine, as well as providing a significant source of ore feed for the Sulphide Plant Expansion project. First ore from Golden Gate Underground is scheduled to coincide with the commissioning of the Stage 2 sulphide plant expansion, scheduled for early 2020, which will facilitate the treatment of arsenopyritedominant ore. Recent drilling has delivered further high-grade results from the ABC Reef, Crow, D Reef and Condor deposits (Figure 2) as outlined below (refer to Appendix 1 for full list of significant results and drill hole details). The assays reported in this announcement build on an extensive bank of high-grade results delivered from this area since the completion of oxide mining (See ASX Announcements dated 29 January 2019, 6 December 2018, 22 January 2018, 26 April 2017, 25 January 2017 and 17 October 2016), and continue to highlight both the underground and open pit mining potential at Golden Gate. | |
