ABSTRACT: | Millennium Minerals Limited (Millennium or Company – ASX: MOY) is pleased to advise that the first holes drilled of a deep drilling campaign announced on 4th July 2016 at the Nullagine Gold Project (Project) (Figure 1) in Western Australia’s Pilbara have returned very high-grade results. The results are considered pivotal because they demonstrate the potential to grow the mine life by delineating high-grade depth extensions beneath the extensive shallow oxide mineralisation. The results returned from the four RC holes completed to date at Bartons clearly demonstrate the continuity of high grade mineralisation in the main lode, below the extent of the existing Bartons open cut pit, with mineralisation still open down plunge. Importantly, the drilling also intersected very encouraging results within the interpreted position of a secondary East lode. Given the strength of these first-pass results, drilling has now commenced on the second fence of holes at Bartons (Figure 2) as a priority to test for high-grade down-plunge extensions approximately 40 m vertical depth below these latest intercepts. This second phase of drilling will consist of both RC and diamond which will also provide the required data to assist with a scoping study to examine the potential for processing fresh rockhosted mineralisation through the Nullagine Processing Plant Once the second phase holes are completed at Bartons, the drill rig will move to other priority targets beneath the Shearers deposit. | |
